Four Blue Devils Named To Women's Lacrosse U.S. Developmental Team

Four members of the Duke University women's lacrosse team were among the 24 players selected to the 2004-05 U.S. Developmental Team as announced by Barb Jordan, the Chair of the U.S. National Teams selection committee, on Sunday, June 13. Katie Chrest, Megan Huether, Leigh Jester and Stefanie Sparks were each named to the team after a two-day tryout held at Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland.

The team, under the direction of University of Richmond head coach Sue Murphy, will participate in events leading up to the 2005 International Federation of Women's Lacrosse Associations (IFWLA) World Cup, which will be held in the USA at the United States Naval Academy. The trials for the 2005 USA World Cup team will take place in the fall of 2004.
