United States National Women's Lacrosse Touring Team To Australia Announced

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Sue Stahl, the head coach of the United States Women's Lacrosse Elite team, has announced the team that will be representing the USA during a tour to Australia this summer. The team will enter training camp on June 22 and then depart for Australia on June 28. The team will compete at the Australian National Championships July 1-8 and then play five games against Australian teams, including a test series of three matches against the Australian national team.

The United States fell to Australia 6-4 in round robin play at the 1997 IFWLA World Championships in Tokyo and then defeated the Aussies 3-2 in sudden-victory overtime in the championship game to win their third consecutive World Cup.
