GREENSBORO, N.C. - Pairings for the 2008 Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse Championship have been determined, as announced by the league office on April 19. Maryland locked in the number one seed in the upcoming ACC three-day tournament, which will take place on the campus of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va., after the third-ranked Terrapins defeated Virginia Tech Saturday afternoon.

Maryland, which owns a 4-1 league mark and earned a first-round bye, will take on the winner of No. 5 seed North Carolina and No. 4 seed Boston College on Friday, April 25 at 5:30 p.m. ET in semifinal action of the annual ACC Tournament.

Opening round action will take place on Thursday afternoon at UVa's Scott Stadium as No. 3 seed Duke faces No. 6 seed Virginia Tech at 1 p.m. and No. 5 seed North Carolina squares off against No. 4 seed Boston College in a 3:30 tilt.
