GREENSBORO, N.C. - Duke's Brad Ross and Kristen Waagbo earned this week's Atlantic Coast Conference Men's and Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week honors, announced by the league on April 16.

Brad RossRoss scored a career-high three goals, including the game-winner in overtime to lift the fourth-ranked Blue Devils to a 7-6 victory over third-ranked Virginia on Sunday in front of 6,588 fans at Koskinen Stadium.

The junior midfielder helped the Blue Devils improve to 10-2 overall and 3-0 in league play, and with the win captured the ACC regular season championship en route to earning the top seed in the annual ACC tournament slated for April 27 and 29 in Durham.

Waagbo helped Duke finish its 2007 regular season road slate with an impressive 16-8 victory over Boston College on Saturday afternoon. The third-ranked Blue Devils are now 11-2 on the season and 3-1 in ACC action. Waagbo tallied three goals and five assists for the winning effort, which tied the Duke record for most assists in a single game. The senior attacker set the all-time Duke assists record on Feb. 18 this season against Stanford and now has 100 career assists after tallying 28 in 13 games.

Now at second all-time for Duke in points (240), third in shots (342), and fourth in goals (146), Waagbo is also on pace to break her own school record for assists in a season (32). The veteran needs eight more goals to catch former Duke player Kate Kaiser (154), while Katie Chrest holds the school record with 216. Waagbo's 240 points are just 47 shy of Chrest's mark.

Waagbo currently leads all ACC players in three statistical categories as the Ellicott City, Md., native averages 4.54 points and 2.15 assists per game. She is also tied among league players with teammate Caroline Cryer for shots per game (6.0).

Duke women will return home for two games next weekend. The Devils will play archrival North Carolina on Friday, April 20 at 7 p.m. ET and then take on Longwood on Sunday, April 22 at 1 p.m. The Blue Devils' men's program will remain at home to take on Army on Saturday, April 21 at Noon ET.
