GREENSBORO, N.C. - North Carolina's Megan Bosica and Maryland's Dana Dobbie share this week's Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week honor for the period ending on Sunday, March 23. Bosica contributed to eight of the Tar Heels' 16 goals en route to defeating ACC foe and fifth-ranked Duke Saturday, while Dobbie tallied an impressive 10 goals in a pair of Terrapin wins over No. 15 Johns Hopkins and No. 10 Stanford.

Bosica scored four goals and dished out four assists in a 16-14 win over fifth-ranked Duke Saturday in Chapel Hill. The sophomore also tallied four ground balls, two draw controls and two caused turnovers as the Tar Heels improved to 7-2 this season and 1-1 in the ACC. Bosica contributed three first-half goals and four first-half assists, then added a goal during an early second-half rally during which the Tar Heels built a five-goal lead.

Dobbie helped Maryland extend its winning streak to six games with a pair of victories last week. In a 16-8 win at Johns Hopkins, the senior scored a hat trick and added three draw controls. She then tied her career-high with seven goals in a 15-7 win at Stanford. The midfielder also added an assist, a team-high five draw controls, two groundballs and a caused turnover. Dobbie led the game-clinching run in the second half with three goals in a five-goal run for the Terps. Her 10 goals last week came on just 16 shots for a .625 shooting percentage.

Next up for the Tar Heels is a home game on Wednesday against ACC rival Virginia Tech, while third-ranked Maryland returns to College Park when it hosts Towson at Ludwig Field Wednesday at 7 p.m. The midweek contest is the last home game for the Terrapins for nearly a month as they do not return home until April 16.
