GREENSBORO, N.C. - North Carolina's Corey Donohoe was named the first 2009 Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week for the period ending on Sunday, February 15. Donohoe helped the ninth-ranked Tar Heels to a thrilling 14-13 overtime victory over 12th-ranked Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tenn.

The attacker from Jarrettsville, Md., tallied a team-leading four goals in the win. With Donohoe's help, the Tar Heels led 3-1 in the opening minutes of the game as the sophomore jumped out of the gate with an unassisted goal within the first two minutes of play. All four of Donohoe's goals occurred in the first half, including two unassisted scores and a free position shot. The Tar Heels carried an 8-7 advantage into halftime.

North Carolina women's lacrosse returns home on Friday to host Oregon. Game time is slated for 5 p.m. ET.
