BC Women's Lacrosse Edged by Harvard 9-8 in Season Finale

Chestnut Hill, Mass - The Boston College women's lacrosse team lost to Harvard University in the final second 9-8 in their final game of the season.

The Eagles finish the year 9-9 and celebrated their final home game of the season with a tribute to the senior class of 2009, the first four year class to play in the ACC.

Maura Mahoney led BC in scoring with two goals and two assists for four points. Lauren Fitzpatrick led the Eagles in goal scoring with a hat trick in the final game of her BC career.

The Eagles scored the first goal of the game notching a 1-0 lead from freshman Brittany Wilton at 21:52 in the first. Harvard responded at 21:17 to even the score. BC regained the lead at 21:07 with a goal by Lauren Fitzpatrick assisted by fellow senior Jenna McCabe.
