No. 1 Terps Trample Temple, 23-5
March 30, 1999 PHILADELPHIA - The Temple womens lacrosse team (1-5) fell to the No. 1 ranked Maryland Terrapins, 23-5, Tuesday at Geasey Field. Sophomore attackers Jen Adams (Brighton, Australia) and Quinn Carney (Flemington, N.J.) led the Terps (9-0) with five scores each, while Temple senior Nicole Ross (Odenton, Md.) had three of the Owls goals. Temple held Maryland scoreless for the first five minutes of the first half before Adams and Carney sparked the Terps to an 8-0 lead on a combined four goals and three assists. Maryland, which dominated draw controls 21 to 5, led 14-2 at the break. The Owls will look to bounce back on Thursday, April 1 when Temple hosts Penn at 3:30 p.m. on Geasey Field.
