Tar Heels Win At Virginia Tech, 12-8
The University of North Carolina women's lacrosse team got five goals and an assist from junior Kristen Taylor and a goal and three assists from Megan Bosica as the Tar Heels defeated Virginia Tech, 12-8, in Blacksburg, Va., on Wednesday afternoon.

The win, Carolina's fifth in a row, improved the Tar Heels to 8-2 this season and 2-0 in Atlantic Coast Conference play.

In addition to Taylor and Bosica's output, Carolina received three goals from Corey Donohoe, two goals from freshman Becky Lynch, two assists from Kristen Carr and a goal from Jenn Russell.

Boston College Takes Down Vermont 4-8
The Boston College women's lacrosse team capped of a mid-week trip to Burlington with a win against non-conference opponent the University of Vermont 14-8.

The Eagles (7-3, 0-2 ACC) gathered their seventh victory of the season on Wednesday afternoon against the Catamounts led by strong performances from senior Jenna McCabe and junior Lauren Costello both of whom registered four points in the victory.

The two teams played evenly throughout the first half with Vermont netting the opening goal and the two teams trading the lead three times and tying the score four times in the first 30 minutes. Vermont held a slim 5-4 margin with seven seconds to play before McCabe tallied her second goal of the game for BC to send the teams into the half with the scored tied at five apiece.
