No. 5 Blue Devils Roll Past Canisius
The No. 5 Duke women’s lacrosse game scored 20 goals for the second game in a row and the third time in the last four games, exploding past MAAC opponent Canisius by a count of 20-1 Friday evening at Koskinen Stadium.

It was the first meeting between the teams in their histories. Duke is now 8-2 on the year as the Griffins fall to 4-6. Duke is a perfect 6-0 at home this season. Duke got four goals from senior Caroline Cryer and a hat trick from Carolyn Davis. Sophomore Virginia Crotty netted her first two goals of the season, and Morgan Miller, Sarah Bullard, and Kat Thomas also scored twice for the Blue Devils. Megan Del Monte, Lindsay Gilbride, Kim Wenger, Bridget Nolan, and Christie Kaestner all added one goal.

Nolan’s goal was the first of her career for the freshman. Davis has now scored in 31 straight games.
