BALTIMORE - The women's lacrosse game between the fourth-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels and the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays was cancelled because of snow Sunday afternoon.

UNC (2-2) led Hopkins (2-0) 5-0 with six minutes remaining in the first half at Homewood Field in Baltimore before the officials and the two head coaches agreed to cancel the game. At the present time there are no plans to reschedule the game.

UNC will return home to play a pair of nationally ranked opponents in Chapel Hill this week. The Tar Heels will play 13th-ranked Temple Thursday at 3 p.m. at Fetzer Field and then will play 11th-ranked George Mason next Sunday at 1 p.m. at Fetzer Field.
