On The Practice Range With Florida State's Whitney Brummett
Sept. 17, 2007
Whitney Brummett is a leader for the Florida State women's golf team who has been a member of the Seminoles' starting line-up during each of her fours years in Tallahassee. She is one of the most competitive players and one of two seniors in the Seminoles' starting line-up this season. Brummett has played in one NCAA Championship, two NCAA Regionals and three ACC Championships and has helped Florida State earn three tournament championships - the spring 2006 Ryder/Florida Championship, the fall 2006 Cougar Classic and the spring 2007 Florida State hosted Chrysler Challenge during her career. She sat down with seminoles.com as she and her teammates begin preparation for the Lady Tar Heel Invitational during the first week of October. Describe yourself in four words. You are stranded in a raft boat out in the middle of the ocean, choose three things that you would have with you and tell us why? If you had ten million dollars, what would you do with it all? What was the most exciting moment at the Cougar Classic? What could you have done differently?
What are you doing to prepare for the Lady Tar Heel Invitational? I have been working hard on my alignment to improve the accuracy of my shots. What are your individual and team goals for this season? What do you do while traveling to golf tournaments with the team? It is an hour before your team leaves for a major tournament. You and a teammate are in the movie theaters. You want to leave but she is dying to see the ending. Would you leave and meet her at the bus or would you stay and potentially miss the bus? What is the strangest or weirdest thing one of your teammates has ever done? Your favorite FSU gear is? What are the two best things about Don A. Veller Seminole Golf Course?
