Wake Forest Falls to 13th After Second Round of Mason Rudolph

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - The 11th-ranked Wake Forest women's golf team fell to 13th place at the Mason Rudolph Championship after shooting an 18-over 306 for a two-day total of 21-over 597 on Vanderbilt's Legends Club (par 72, 6,217-yards). The Demon Deacons started the day tied for eighth at 3-over-par 291. UCLA took over the top spot after shooting a 5-under 281 for a 12-under 564 and is nine strokes ahead of second-place Arizona State, which shot a 5-over 293. Duke holds an even par and is in third place, while Arizona is in fourth and Oklahoma State and Florida are tied for fifth. Senior Laura Crawford led the Deacs on Saturday and shot a 1-over 73 for the second straight day and holds a two-day score of 2-over 146 and is tied for 22nd. Sophomore Dolores White remains in the top 20 and holds an even par after shooting a 3-over in the second round. White is tied for 15th and is 10 strokes behind individual leader Amanda Blumenherst of Duke. Senior Jordan Craig improved upon her score by one stroke and shot a 6-over 78 for a 13-over 157 and is tied for 77th, while junior Nannette Hill is tied for 61st with a 9-over 153. Freshman Natalie Sheary rounds out the team of a five with a 14-over 158, tying for 79th. Wake Forest concludes play on Sunday with a 9:30 a.m. tee time from the 10th hole.
