COLLEGE PARK, Md. - University of Maryland women's golfer Katie Redeker was named recently to the 2003-04 All-American Scholar Team by the National Golf Coaches Association.

Redeker, a senior on last year's squad, was one of 318 players selected across the nation at the NCAA Division I, II and III levels. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 to qualify for the team, while players must have competed in at least two-thirds of the school's regularly scheduled rounds.

A native of Pepper Pike, Ohio, Redeker averaged 78.2 strokes per round for the Terps in her senior season, third on the team. She had two top-10 finishes as a senior, including a tie for fifth at the Lady Seahawk Spring Invitational. Redeker tied for 20th at the 2004 Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament, scoring a season-best 225 over 54 holes.
