Newport, RI - Virginia sophomore women's golfer Jennie Arseneault will tee off at 8:50 a.m. Thursday during the first round of play at the U.S. Women's Open. This year's championship is being held at the Newport Country Club in Newport, R.I.

Arseneault is paired with Amie Cochran and Kim Hana. The threesome will start on the No. 10 tee.

Arseneault qualifed for the U.S. Open after finishing as the co-medalist at a sectional qualifying tournament.

Heavy rains in the northeast have left tournament officials and the course maintenance scrambling this week to keep the Newport County Club course in playing condition.
