Bluefield, VA - Virginia sophomore women's golfer Jennie Arseneault shot 73 during the second round of stroke play to advance to the match play portion of the Women's Western Golf Association's 106th National Amateur Championship. Arseneault tied for fourth overall in stroke play at 147 after opening with a 74.

Tuesday's second round was delayed more than two hours due to rain at Fincastle Country Club in Bluefield, Va.

Arseneault will meet Katrin Wolfe of Johnstown, Pa. in the opening round of match play. They are scheduled to tee off at 9 a.m. The match play field includes the top 64 players from stroke play. The tournament concludes with 36 holes of match play Saturday.

Arseneault, from Grinnell, Iowa, has already qualified for the 2006 Women's U.S. Open that will take place June 29 to July 2 at the Newport Country Club in Newport, R.I.
