CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina golfer Marcy Newton, a junior from High Point, N.C., has been selected a second-team All-America team by the National Golf Coaches Association. Newton was also named to the Golfweek/Sagarin All-District first team for the Mid-Atlantic/East District.

Newton, an All-ACC selection this year, won this year's Fripp Island Intercollegiate and has posted six top 10 and nine top 20 finishes this year. She tied for 13th place at the NCAA East Regional.
