CORNING, N.Y. - On Friday, Duke University rising junior Brittany Lang carded her second straight round of one-under-par, 71, at the LPGA Corning Classic in Corning, N.Y., and sits tied for 14th with a two-day total of 142 at the 6,062-Yard, Par 72 Corning Country Club.

In her third LPGA event of her career, Lang advances to the weekend for the first time. On Friday, Lang notched four birdies and an eagle on the par-five second hole. Her two-under-par overall score is five shots off the leaders Annika Sorenstam and Sherri Turner at seven-under-par.

A product of McKinney, Texas, Lang made the turn at even par and registered birdies on the 11th, 12th and 14th holes, but suffered bogey's on the No. 13 and 18.

She is coming off being named National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) First Team All-America as she finished tied for third, individually, at the NCAA Championship and led the Duke Blue Devils to a five-stroke victory at the NCAA Championship.
