Four ACC Teams to Compete in NCAA Women's Golf Championship

Greensboro, N.C. - Four ACC teams, Wake Forest, Virginia, Duke and North Carolina, will compete in the NCAA Women's Golf Championship being played May 19-22 in Owings Mills, Maryland.

For the 12th straight year, Duke will be heading to the NCAA Championships and Wake Forest is advancing for their fourth straight year. Virginia’s appearance at the NCAA Championships will be the third in the program’s six-year history. North Carolina’s last NCAA appearance was in 2007 when they finished 21st.

Eight teams and two individuals advanced from each regional. In the Central Region, Wake Forest finished in third place while NC State finished 15th. In the East Regional, Virginia placed fourth, Duke and North Carolina tied for sixth and Florida State finished 15th.

The championship finals will be held May 19-22 at the Caves Valley Golf Club, Owings Mills, Maryland and will be hosted by Georgetown University.
