GREENSBORO, N.C. - Duke senior Amanda Blumenherst, from Scottsdale, Ariz., has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Golfer of the Month for April.

Blumenherst registered individual medalist honors at the SunTrust Lady Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla. with rounds of 70, 75 and 77 (222). The victory was the first of the season for her and the 12th of her career, which tied the Duke career record held by Mary Anne Widman. Blumenherst led Duke to a tie for first place finish in the Lady Gator before falling in a playoff to Auburn in the team competition.

Blumenherst now owns six top 20, three top 10 and two top five finishes this season. She also has 11 rounds of even or under par to lead Duke.
