April 5, 2009
Nielson’s 67 Leads UVa to 2nd Place Finish at Bryan National Virginia’s final round score marked the only time all weekend a team posted a score below par. The Cavaliers were led Sunday by Nielson’s 5-under 67, the lowest single-round score of the event. It marks the second time this spring Nielson has tied the school scoring record. He tied for sixth place overall with teammate Jennie Arseneault at 5-over 221. Arseneault carded a 72 during the final round. It was Arseneault’s 10th career top-10 finish and the eighth for Nielson. Demon Deacons Finish Third At Bryan National Bodemann made three birdies and an eagle in her final round of 69, besting her previous career-low of 2-under 70, which she shot last year at the ACC Championships.
