Ronderos Ties for Seventh at John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate
University of Miami sophomore Maria Ronderos carded a 74 in her final round to tie for seventh at the John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate hosted by Georgia State at 6,074 yard par 72 Eagle’s Landing Country Club Tuesday. Ronderos registered her second top 10 finish of the season.
Miami did not finish the team competition as sophomore Christina Hirano withdrew with an injury. Senior Anabelle Paulino did not make the trip due to illiness and the Hurricanes competed with four golfers in the tournament.
Host team Georgia State won the individual and team championships. Sandra Maier was named individual medalist after carding a 216 (E). Fellow Panther Anna Scott finished one shot back at 217. Stefanie Kenoyer of Furman finished third at 219. Georgia State won the team competition with an 886 (+22). Furman finished second with an 895, Chattanooga third at 896, ETSU fourth at 898.
