DURHAM,N.C. - Duke University Head Field Hockey coach Liz Tchou announced today that she is resigning her position for personal reasons. Coach Tchou guided the Duke field hockey program for seven years, during which time her teams earned three NCAA tournament berths.

This past season, the team reached the quarterfinals for the first time in Duke history.

"We accept Liz's resignation with regret," said Director of Athletics Joe Alleva, "and with gratitude for all she has done for our program and for our student-athletes. She has been instrumental in establishing Duke as a national field hockey power and as a perennial contender for post-season success."
