Maryland's O'Donnell Tabbed ACC Field Hockey Player Of The Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Maryland attacker Katie O’Donnell scored at least once in all three of the Terps’ games last week and has been honored as this week’s Atlantic Coast Conference Field Hockey Player of the Week.
A senior from Blue Bell, Pa., O’Donnell scored five goals and notched two assists as then-No. 1 Maryland (10-1, 3-0 ACC) went 2-1 on the road against three ranked opponents.
She scored the first goal at No. 4 Princeton, cutting the Tigers lead to one. With Princeton’s lead back to two, O’Donnell assisted on a goal by Jemma Buckley to cut the lead to one again. The Tigers prevailed 4-2, remaining undefeated on the season.
Facing conference foe and third-ranked Virginia, O’Donnell scored the game-winner in overtime off a corner. After inserting on the play, O’Donnell scored on a backdoor pass from Buckley. The Terps won 2-1, handing the Cavaliers their first loss of the season. Maryland remains undefeated in league play.
In the 4-3 win at No. 19 Michigan, O’Donnell scored 12 seconds into the game and went on to register her sixth career hat trick.
