GREENSBORO, N.C. – Duke sophomore forward Emmie Le Marchand has been named the ACC Field Hockey Player of the Week, announced Tuesday by the Atlantic Coast Conference. This marks the first career weekly award for Le Marchand. The Blue Devils improved to 7-4 overall and 2-1 in ACC play over the weekend, picking up two wins against ranked opponents including a 4-2 win over No. 8 Boston College in a key conference matchup. In the first half, she assisted on a Mary Nielsen goal 8:39 minutes in and tallied another helper for Devon Gagliardi eight minutes later. The Worcester, England native scored the third Duke goal and the eventual game winner just after halftime. Duke followed up the ACC win with a 1-0 overtime victory at No. 18 Boston University.
