Two weeks into her freshman season, Maryland's Katie O'Donnell leads the ACC in three different categories - points, goals, and assists.

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Katie O'Donnell, a forward for the Maryland Terrapins, has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference's Field Hockey Player of the Week.

O'Donnell, a freshman from Blue Bell, Pa., led the top-ranked Terrapins to three wins last week, including two over ranked teams. In a 4-1 win over sixth-ranked Old Dominion, she tallied two goals and an assist. Against No. 12 Michigan, she added another goal and assist.

For the week, O'Donnell had five goals on 17 shots and three assists for a total of 13 points. Two weeks into the season, she leads the conference in points, goals and assists.

This coming weekend O'Donnell and the Terps will host Ohio State and Northeastern before opening their conference season at No. 13 Boston College on Saturday, Sept. 15.
