Colorado Springs, Colo. - Boston College assistant field hockey coach Andrew Griffiths and senior assistant captain Sara York (Watertown, Mass.) continue to spend the summer working in the USA High Performance Programs.

Griffiths, who was recently named an assistant coach with the USA Under-21 team, recently coached the U-21 team at the Elite Performance Training Centers National Championships. The U-21 team was victorious in the tournament. He will work two Under-21 training camps in July.

USA Field Hockey's EPTCs identify and train potential National Team athletes regionally, and serve as feeder programs to the National Squad. Prior to moving to Boston and joining the New England regional EPTC, Griffiths was the head coach of the Maryland/Virginia Training Center.

York was selected to compete in the New England EPTC program and was a member of the New England Fire team that competed in the EPTC National Championship at the National Training Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia, June 29-July 3. The team finished fifth.
