CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College Field Hockey team has announced its 2006 fall schedule. Eight of the top-20 teams in last year's final National Field Hockey Coaches Association are included on next year's schedule.

"We have chosen a challenging and demanding schedule for 2006," said Head Coach Ainslee Lamb. "We want to compete on a regular basis with the best teams in the country."

"Our schedule starts out strong, and we will be challenged right through to the end of the season. Atlantic Coast Conference [ACC] field hockey obviously presents tremendous competition itself, and we will continue to develop our strong traditional New England rivalries as we play the top teams in the region again in 2006," said Lamb.

The Eagles finished with a 13-7 overall record under first-year head coach Ainslee Lamb. Boston College qualified for their third consecutive NCAA Tournament in 2005.
