Wake Forest Days Travel To Rocky Mount, Wilmington
May 7, 2004 Jennifer Averill, head coach of the two-time NCAA champion field hockey team, veteran men's assistant basketball coach Dino Gaudio and the "Voice of the Deacons," Stan Cotten headline "Wake Forest Days" in both Rocky Mount and Wilmington on May 13th. Demon Deacon head basketball coach Skip Prosser will appear at the Rocky Mount function, which is a noon luncheon at the Benvenue Country Club. The Wilmington event begins with a 7 p.m. dinner at Wilson's at 4925 New Centre Drive between Market and College. Averill, entering her 13th season at Wake Forest, has led the Deacons to consecutive NCAA championships and four straight Final Four appearances. Gaudio, a former head coach at Army and Loyola (MD), is entering his fourth year as a Deacon assistant coach. "Wake Forest Days" are open to the public. The cost is $10 for the Rocky Mount luncheon and $20 for the Wilmington dinner.
