UNC Celebrates Senior Day With 9-0 Win CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Seniors Kate Scholl and Britt van Beek were among six Tar Heels to score goals Sunday as the North Carolina field hockey team celebrated Senior Day with a 9-0 win over Davidson at Francis E. Henry Stadium. Sixth-ranked UNC improved to 14-4 with a win in its final game of the regular season. The visiting Wildcats dropped to 6-13. "I'm very proud of our group," UNC coach Karen Shelton said. "I think we honored the seniors today by playing so well. I was particularly pleased with all the scoring from different people. I feel like we made progress in every phase of our game - the things we worked on in practice last week, the things we talked about following yesterday's win at Old Dominion, we applied in today's game. It was nice to end the (regular) season at home and have the Fever and the band in attendance to support and honor the seniors."
