No. 1 Terps Top No. 5 Princeton In Overtime
The No. 1-ranked Maryland field hockey team held off No. 5 Princeton, 3-2, in overtime Wednesday night. The Terps moved to 13-0 on the year, while the Tigers fell to 9-2. It was the Terps' first overtime game all year. .

Princeton struck first as Kathleen Sharkey scored just over two minutes into the game. Maryland freshman Megan Frazer hit a shot seven minutes later off of a penalty corner. Princeton's Julia Reinprecht put the Tigers ahead again 17 minutes into the game and the Terps trailed 2-1 at the half.

Six minutes into the second half, junior Katie O'Donnell knocked in a goal to tie the game at 2-2 when Princeton's goalkeeper, Jennifer King, came out of the goal to defend the shot. The rest of the second half was a battle.
