  • COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The top-ranked Maryland field hockey team was tested on Wednesday night, but Princeton could not keep pace as the Terrapins claimed a 4-1 victory at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex. Junior Sarah Scholl recorded a pair of assists, including assisting on the game winner.

The Terps improved to 10-0 on the season and is one of two undefeated teams remaining in the country. They also extended their win streak to 14 games, dating back to last season's NCAA Tournament.

Maryland had just one penalty corner in the game but the first one was executed to perfection. After the push in by senior Janneke van Leeuwen (Hilversum, Netherlands), freshman Katie O'Donnell (Blue Bell, Pa.) made the stop to set up junior Susie Rowe (London, England), who slammed the ball into the back of the cage, giving the Terrapins a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute of the game.
