Freshman Katelyn Falgowski scored the first two goals of her career and added two assists Thursday as the top-ranked North Carolina field hockey team beat visiting Appalachian State on a rainy evening at Francis E. Senior Rachel Dawson had the assist, her first of the year. Senior Jesse Gey made it 2-0 just over four minutes later with a hard shot from the top of the circle. Senior Laree Beans tipped in a pass from Falgowski to make it 3-0 13:38 into the game. Read More
