Maryland Field Hockey Avenges Loss, Tops Penn State, 1-0
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - In a rematch of last year's NCAA second-round upset, the No. 2 Maryland field hockey team returned the favor on Monday night, upending No. 6 Penn State, 1-0, before 794 fans at the Field Hockey Field. The win also marks the program's 500th all-time, dating back to 1974.
The Terrapins' Susie Rowe (London, England/Colfe's School) scored the lone goal of the game at the 55th-minute mark to give the Terps the victory.
