The Duke rowing program announced today the addition of Erin Burton to the full-time coaching staff. After two years of working extensively with the staff while also pursuing her degree in Civil Engineering, Burton will work with the freshman walk-ons and recruits, as well as assist with recruiting next seaosn. During the 2001-2002 campaign, she served as volunteer novice coach.

Burton, a four-year letterwinner at Duke, graduated this past spring. Her novice crews posted a 3rd place finish at the Head of the Chattahoochee in the fall and placed no lower than second against their competition in the spring.

"Erin's work ethic and commitment to the program are going to be a tremendous resource for our staff," said head coach Robyn Horner. "She also has an incredible grasp on what it takes to be a part of our program, both as an athlete and as a coach."
