Rowing Announces Class of 2005

DURHAM, N.C. - The Duke University Rowing program has announced the signing of eleven high-school student-athletes for the 2001-02 season.

Melissa Buckmiller(Mercer Island, WA/Mercer Island High School), coxswain Arianna Chernove (Los Angles, CA/Marlborough School), Julia Gelfand (Bala Cynwyd, PA/Lower Merion HS), Lindsey Hess (Buffalo, NY/Nardin Academy), Mary McKee(Rockwood, MI/ Carlson HS), coxswain Kareen Murray (Springfield, VA/Thomas Jefferson HS), Sarah O9Connor (Pottstown, PA/Agnes Irwin HS),Mariah Richardson-Osgood (Issaquah, WA/The Overlake School), Lindsay Stanga (Arlington, VA/ Washington Lee HS), Julie Stuart (Orlando, FL/Boone HS), and Natalie Zervas (Wakefield, MA/BBN) have all committed to the Blue Devils beginning in the fall of 2001.

"I look for this class to have a tremendous impact on our program" said head coach Robyn Horner. "I believe their experience and athleticism will allow them to immediately contribute toward our team goals."
