Clemson, SC - The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) released its list of All-Region teams on Tuesday. Clemson senior Sarah Cooper was named first-team All-South Region for the second straight season. The decorated rower was also a three-time All-ACC rower and first-team All-American in 2006.

Cooper's selection makes her the fifth rower in Clemson history to earn multiple All-Region honors. Lucy Doolittle (2000-02) earned three All-Region awards, while Aimee Fox (2001-02), Emily Kuivila (2002-03), and Mary Nell Green (2003-04) were two-time selections to the All-Region squad. Cooper, Doolittle, and Fox are the only Tigers to earn first-team honors on multiple occasions.

This season, the native of Westminster, SC stroked the varsity 8+ to a national ranking as high as #12 in the US Rowing/CRCA poll after defeating Michigan, Michigan State, and Notre Dame in March. She led the Tigers' top boat to a third-place showing at the ACC Championships and a petite final finish at regionals last weekend. Under her leadership, the Tigers' varsity 8+ twice earned ACC Crew of the Week honors in 2007.
