UNC Rowers Named All-South Region

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.--Three University of North Carolina senior rowers have earned Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association All-South Region honors, announced Monday. Erin Neppel and Dana Peirce were named to the 13-member first team, while Laura Fogt was selected for the second team.

As first-team members, Neppel and Peirce are eligible for All-America honors. Neppel was also a first-team selection in 2000 and Peirce was named to the second team.

Neppel is a senior from Raleigh, where she attended Millbrook High. Peirce is from Richmond, Va., and attended The Kent School. Fogt is from Raleigh and attended Leesvillle Road High. All three recently completed their careers at UNC.

All-Region Second Team:
Nicole Braun (Texas), Laura Fogt (North Carolina), Grace Harrington (Tennessee), Lauren Henne (Clemson), Jennifer Herberger (Virginia), Lauren Kueck (Tennessee), Kristen Logan (Tennessee). Coxswain: Yng Ru Chen (Duke)
