CHARLOTTESVILLE - The University of Virginia women's rowing team returns to action on Sunday (May 12) when the Cavaliers compete in the Eastern Association of Women's Rowing Colleges (EAWRC) Sprints on the Cooper River in Camden, N.J.

The Cavaliers have not competed since sweeping four races from Boston University on April 27 at the Rivanna Reservoir. UVa won the first varsity eight, the second varsity eight, the first varsity four and the first novice eight races against Boston University.

Virginia crews are seeded in the top six in five different events at the Eastern Sprints. UVa is seeded third in the first varsity four, fourth in the second varsity eight, fifth in the second novice eight, sixth in the first varsity eight and eighth in the first novice eight.

The Cavaliers' first varsity eight is ranked 13th in this week's USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association NCAA Division I Varsity Eight Coaches Poll.
