Clemson received five votes in the latest US Rowing/CRCA (Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association) poll, which was released Wednesday. The Tigers' varsity eight ranks third among non-ranked vote getters.

Clemson is coming off a strong showing at the ACC championship, held last weekend on Lake Hartwell. The Tigers won the novice 8+ race and finished second place in three other races to place second overall. The University of Virginia, ranked 10th in this week's latest poll, claimed the championship.

Tiger head coach Susie Lueck was named ACC Coach of the Year at the conclusion of last week's conference championship. Three rowers, Ashlee Brown, Sarah Cooper, and Liz Averyt, were named to the All-ACC team.

Clemson rowing will next compete in the NCAA Regionals, set to be held May 14-15 on Lake Melton at Oak Ridge, TN. The Tigers raced at the same venue earlier this spring, winning three of six races against Cincinnati and Dartmouth.
