"Every time we go out there and race, we have a much better performance than we did the week before, and we did that again today."

UNC's varsity four was sixth in a time of 8:16.2. Carolina's lineup, entirely from the novice squad, was Sara Uribe (coxswain), Maeghan Sill, Autumn Carroll, Samantha Cabrera and Kathryn Winz.

The Tar Heels' next action is three weeks away, at the South/Central Sprints on May 13-14 in Oak Ridge, Tenn. "We keep moving and we keep doing the things that we want to do," Haney said. "We're looking forward to going back and having a few weeks of training to continue to improve at Centrals."
