Aug. 1, 2007
BRATISLAVA, Slovakia - Virginia's Monica Wright (Woodbridge, Va.) and the USA Basketball U19 World Championship Team captured an 84-60 win over host Slovakia at the 2007 World Championships in Slovakia on Wednesday.
The rising sophomore finished with three points in 10 minutes of action.
USA Head Coach Doug Bruno Quotes
"Allyssa DeHaan is going to be vital to our success, but tonight was one of those games where they were a smallish line up and we wanted to stay in man rather than zone. The bench overall was better, but we still need some consistent play from our inside game. We need to get somebody else besides Jantel scoring inside."
