Melvin leads the Rockers in rebounding

Cleveland--Cleveland Rockers forward Chasity Melvin is expected to be out for two to three weeks after suffering a fractured orbital bone in her right eye in Sunday's game against the Houston Comets.

The injury forced the former NC State star to miss Monday night's WNBA All-Star Game in Orlando. Melvin had been selected as a reserve on the Eastern Conference squad, which also featured former Pack guard Andrea Stinson.

The 6-3 Melvin is second on the Rockers in scoring at 11.4 points per game and first in rebounding at 6.7 boards per contest. She scored a season-high 22 points in a victory over Indiana on June 9.
