GREENSBORO, N.C. - Virginia's Jayna Hartig (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) has been named to the 2007 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Women's Basketball Team, the ACC announced on Thursday.

One of 16 student-athletes honored, Hartig is the only freshman to be recognized for her academic accomplishments. To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade-point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.

A 6-1 forward, Hartig saw action in 29 games off the bench for Virginia last season, shooting a perfect 13-for-13 from the free throw line. She earned the team's Preseason Conditioning award and shared the team's MVP in Practice award.
