ATLANTA - Women's basketball associate head coach Stephanie Glance was recently elected as the Assistant Coaches Representative for The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Board of Directors. Glance, now in her 10th year at NC State, is one of eight newly elected board members.

The WBCA Board of Directors manage all business and affairs of the association. To be eligible for election to the Board of Directors, candidates shall be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and shall have maintained at least two consecutive years of Active membership (Associate Membership for high school coaches) in the WBCA, and at the time of their nomination or appointment to the Board of Directors, shall be Active (Associate) members in good standing, and who shall remain in good standing on the date of election and through their term on the Board of Directors.

The WBCA is commonly known for its annual WBCA High School All-American game held before the NCAA Final Four each year, as well as the All-Star Challenge, which features 20 of the nation's top seniors not playing in the Final Four.

Founded in 1981, the WBCA promotes women's basketball by unifying coaches at all levels to develop a reputable identity for the sport and to foster and promote the development of the game in all of its aspects as an amateur sport for women and girls.
