DURHAM, N.C. - The 2001-02 Duke women's basketball media guide placed second nationally in the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) publications contest. The 132-page guide finished first in District III and second among Division I institutions behind Texas out of 102 entries.

Designed and edited by Duke Assistant Sports Information Director Lindy Brown, the guide assists media in the coverage of Blue Devil women's basketball with staff and player bios, pictures, records, school information, the history of the program and much more.

The top seven guides were Texas, Duke, Arizona State, Florida State, Tennessee, Maryland and Texas A&M. In District III, Duke finished above Florida State and Florida.

The cover of the media guide finished fifth nationally, which was designed by Jim Jarvis of West Side Studio in Durham, N.C.
