2002 ACC Women's Basketball All-Defensive Team GREENSBORO, N.C. - The 2001-02 Atlantic Coast Conference All-Defensive Team spotlights five players representing four league teams as the leagues top defensive players. The ACC All-Defensive team is selected by the nine ACC women's basketball head coaches. Duke sophomore Alana Beard currently leads the league in steals, averaging 3.3 per contest and ranks ninth in rebounds with 6.2 per game. After just two seasons Beard ranks fifth in Blue Devil career records with a career total of 196 steals. This is her second straight All-Defensive honor. Clemson junior Chrissy Floyd currently ranks seventh in the ACC, averaging 1.93 steals per game. In the Tiger record books, Floyd continues to climb the career steals list with 165, placing her eighth. Floyd leads Clemson with a total of 52 steals this season. Georgia Tech senior Milli Martinez leads the Yellow Jackets with 48 steals this season which is ninth in the league (1.78). She also ranks eighth in the ACC recording 6.5 rebounds per game from her guard position. In Georgia Tech charts, Martinez has 184 steals which is currently seventh among career steal leaders. Maryland junior Renneika Razor heads into the ACC Tournament averaging 2.07 steals per game. For her career, Razor has tallied 175 steals which ranks 11th in the Terrapin career records section. From her guard position, Razor also ranks third on her team in rebounds with a total of 124, 4.4 per game. Duke's Iciss Tillis averages 8.4 rebounds per game, currently ranking second in the league. She also ranks second, behind teammate Alana Beard in steals per game with 2.38 per game. On the defensive glass, Tillis leads the ACC with 6.31 defensive rebounds per game. The 25th Annual ACC Women's Basketball Tournament begins this weekend at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C., starting on March 1 and ending on March 4.
