What is something that most people don't know about you?
Most people don't know that I've had a lot of jobs over the years including being a school bus driver.

What do you do to get ready before you perform?
I like to hang with my friends before a show and hype myself up by joking around with them and playing Playstation.

What is your favorite meal before you go on stage?
I don't really like to eat anything before a show, but afterwards, I enjoy cranberry juice and a honey bun.

When did you realize you wanted to be a musician?
I was young, probably around age 10 singing for my family and at church and I knew I wanted to be a full-time musician and performer.

Did you play any sports in high school?
Growing up in Hickory, I played in the Rec. leagues; basketball, football, and soccer. I played NCCAA Division II basketball at Free Will Baptist Bible College.

How did you get where you are today?
First because of my Mother, who has always believed in me, I dream big. And second, because of God, I know I will never fail so I always keep trying. After I graduated high school in Hickory, North Carolina I moved to Los Angeles, California where I ended up homeless. Eventually I moved to Nashville, Tennessee where I met John Rich and became a member of the MuzikMafia. I graduated from Free Will Baptist Bible College and got a Publishing deal with Big Kenny and the rest they say, is history.

What do you do when you're not performing?
If I'm not performing music, then I am writing music and I love to go to the movies.

How has your tour of the ACC schools been? How many more do you have?
It's been great! It has been awesome to be able to watch some great basketball being played and then to meet the coaches and teams and interact with the fans. I'm having a lot of fun and it's bringing back my college hoops memories; I want to be out on the court playing! We've got about 7 stops left and then of course I'll be at the Tournament in Greensboro in March.

What is your biggest accomplishment away from music?
In 2007, I was able to go with my good friend Big Kenny and an organization called My Sister's Keeper on a Mission trip to help the people living in the Akon Village in Sudan, Africa.

What is your most memorable moment as a musician?
I was asked to put together a choir of Hurricane Katrina Survivors to perform with Keith Urban on the 2006 CMT Awards Show.

    Damien Horne at Virginia

What has been your favorite part of the "She Can Play" process?
My favorite part is meeting everyone: the coaches, the players, the fans; everyone has been so nice.

Who is your most influential role model?
    Jesus Christ

What else do you have planned for ACC Basketball?
Bigger shows and more surprises; you never know where I might show up next!
