Duke Holds Off Charlotte 57-44
Duke's Joy Cheek saw some familiar faces on the opposing bench. She just didn't acknowledge them.

Cheek scored 12 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to help No. 10 Duke defeat Charlotte 57-44 on Monday night.

Jasmine Thomas added 10 points and a career-high eight assists for the Blue Devils (3-1), who overcame an early deficit with a 15-0 run in the first half. 

Wake Forest Grounds Coppin State Eagles 62-40
Brittany Waters netted 22 points and Secily Ray and Sandra Garcia each added 12 rebounds as Wake Forest defeated Coppin State 62-40 in Winston-Salem on Monday night.

Wake Forest improves to 4-0 with the victory and Coppin State stalls at 2-2.

Freshman Asia Williams had her best performance to date, tallying 13 points and eight rebounds off the bench. Senior Jessie Cain and junior Kem Wilson made their first appearance of the season, logging two minutes at the end of regulation. 

NC State Toughs Out 62-52 Road Win At ODU
Tia Bell and Marissa Kastanek each scored 12 points to send NC State to a 62-52 victory at Old Dominion Monday night at Ted Constant Center.

NC State (4-1) won its third straight by allowing a season-low 34.6 percent shooting percentage to Old Dominion (0-3), who has lost to Stanford and Maryland before tonight.

After the Lady Monarchs cut their deficit down to just two points, 36-34, early in the second half, Brittany Strachan (four points, eight rebounds) capped a 10-2 run with a short baseline jumper for a 46-36 lead with 10 minutes to play.
