BC Women's Basketball Improves to 3-0

Junior Mickel Picco and Ayla Brown combined for 32 points to lead Boston College past Hofstra, 71-60, at Conte Forum last night in a non-conference game.

Boston College is now 3-0 on the season and will host No. 15 Notre Dame on Sunday, Nov. 23 at 2 p.m. Hofstra dropped to 0-2.

Seminoles Remain Unbeaten With 70-57 Victory Over College of Charleston

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Guided by a monster effort by true freshman center Cierra Bravard, the No. 21 Seminoles defeated the College of Charleston 70-57 Thursday night at the Donald L. Tucker Center.

Bravard, who has started in the middle of the FSU (3-0) lineup every game of the season so far, connected on 11 of her 17 shots for a game- and career-high 25 points. She also added eight rebounds.

Toliver Spurs Terps To Win Over Dukes

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP)-- Kristi Toliver had 27 points and 10 assists, Lynetta Kizer scored 18, and No. 11 Maryland used an 18-3 second-half run to pull away to a 90-76 victory over James Madison on Thursday night.

It was the 23rd straight home win for the Terrapins (2-1), who were locked in a tie game with 11:46 left before Toliver made three baskets and a pair of three throws in the pivotal surge.

Logan Drops Career-Best 19 on NCCU in 81-45 Win

BLACKSBURG, Va. – Lakeisha Logan celebrated her 21st birthday in style on Thursday night, pouring in a career-high 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting to lead the Virginia Tech women’s basketball team to an easy 81-45 victory over visiting North Carolina Central at Cassell Coliseum.

Logan’s effort included a trio of 3-pointers to give her a team-high six on the year. The 5-foot-8 junior has now scored in double figures in all three of Tech’s games this season and leads the team with 13.7 points per game.
